"I Will Change The World By..." was the theme for the 2021-22 Reflections Art Program, which has been bringing the arts to life for more than 10 million students since 1969. California State PTA and its members, families and kids are on the forefront of this amazing program, which increases community awareness of the importance of arts in education.

Each student writes a statement connecting the theme to their original art medium. During the 2020-21 school year, the pandemic brought new challenges to the facilitators and the students. The theme last year was "I Matter Because..." and the students really dug deep, thinking outside the box.  While sheltering at home, experiencing virtual classrooms, and having limited exposure, this theme ignited a creative fire in these kids. The middle and high school level students expressed and conveyed their angst and thought provoking statements through their talents. LBCPTA will be virtually celebrating all 90 students who advanced from their school to the council level.

Long Beach Council had 400 students from 20 schools participate.
